Dear fans, fellow podcasters, and pretty much everyone else.

There comes a time in your life when transition or ‘Transforming’ (stop groaning there) becomes imminent. And unfortunately that time in my life has is now. I’ve enjoyed with immense pride and pleasure creating four highly successful and world-renown podcasts both from completely opposite ends of the spectrum. However the amount of effort and time to produce these shows has become too much to juggle. This combined with fellow hosts busy schedules it has become almost impossible for everyone to get together on regular basis anymore.

This combined with a new relationship, the joys and struggles that comes with one, the undertaking of managing a house, my ever increasing work scheduled, blah blah… well you get the idea. I don’t want to complain because I can never understand how those who have things… such as ‘kids’ are able to fit everything into a time slot of 24 hours. But, I find myself in need of a much deserve break because of burn-out and a much needed change of direction.

Sadly Transformers is in a major lull since Revenge of the Fallen disappointed every insatiable fan out there, and in terms of my other podcasts I find myself growing more and more out of touch with pop culture. It’s time for the next generation of podcasters to step up to the plate.

Because of all of this I am announcing my retirement from Podcasting. I feel I’ve done my contribution to society in these arena and it’s just time to move on.

So rounding out what is going to happen the next few months you will see the beginning and end of these transitions.

ASNL – We may do one more show to close things down, but it’s been impossible to coordinate schedules with everyone. After that the reigns of the Columbus LGBT world are turned over to Benji from GailyFWD. Benji has taken GailyFWD farther than I would have ever imagined, and as such it is their turn now to shine and reflect the people of Columbus.

GCP – Possible last show here as well. If I can get everyone back in the studio for a recording then we will have one last hurrah of laughs. With that the comedy you like lays in the hands of other greats such as Cayenne Chris Conroy from Teknikal Diffikulites (tekdiff.com). I may occasionally ghost write for him since he seems to know how to translate what I have in my mind on paper to comedic brilliance.

TFormers.com – The TFormers.com will continue till the end of December 2009, the last show being the 28th and afterwards, the TFormers.com Podcast will be closing down. However with much appreciation, Brian Kilby with Radio Free Cybertron will be stepping into our place as the official Podcast for TFormers.com. They’re shows will remain the same, but will now be sponsored by TFormers.com.

I wish Brian all the best and if there is anyone more suited to fit our role, it’s the original Transformers Radio guy himself Brian Kilby. I apologize to the fans for the late notice, my goal was to keep things going till the end of Feburary but my work schedule is just making it impossible to produce a show and sadly financial survival comes first.

GailyFWD – Will be continuing as normal, however I will be stepping out of a producer role and Benji will be running the show now. I wish Benji and his crew all the luck and will be there on a support only basis. Benji now has the world on his shoulders so I encourage all of our fans to support their show as they continue their role to provide education and knowledge to the LGBT community.

I want to thank all the fans through the five years of doing this. I really appreciate the support, the emails, the tweets and the general love from random complete strangers. It really goes to show that if have an idea you can make it happen and as much as I don’t want to disappoint ‘you the fans’, I need to take care of my mental and financial well-being above all.

You can continue to follow whatever projects I get myself into at anthonyanselmo.com.

So with that being said I want to seriously thank you all again for your interest and support of these endeavors for the past four years. This really has been a blast and while I do not imagine this is ‘farewell’ I consider it a ’see-ya-later’. Keep your spirits bright, your dreams alive, reaching for the stars with your feet cemented in the ground.

Take Care.

Anthony S. Anselmo
