Changing Vice Presidents in the middle of his re-election campaign is seen as a sign of weakness and would hurt Obama.

I live in Australia and just have a few things to clarify on our Prime Minister.

First she is not a lesbian but she is a hypocritical bitch that no one really likes. The statement she gave about traditional marriage is pretty much word for word what Penny Wong also said at the last election. If Julia believed what came out of her mouth she would not be childless and shacked up with her hairdresser boyfriend.

In our political system when you are a member of a party you are obligated to vote along party lines, unless the Prime Minister allows a conscience vote. She knows this will simply not work because her party is only in power and holding the balance of power with the help of three independents. Even if only a few in the Labor party vote against marriage equality it will be defeated because the opposition party will vote against it as well.

60% of the population approve equal marriage rights in Australia but both major parties cannot afford to get the ultra conservative religious right minor parties off side as these parties hold a lot of power in our senate.

I’m also convinced that they like to keep this debate alive as a distraction from much more important issues.

John Key, the prime minister, if from the conservative National Party, not the Labour Party—Pink News didn’t make that clear enough. Key’s not keen on changing the law and voted against civil unions.

Pink News says: “Although most New Zealanders can adopt, gay couples cannot.” Gay couples CAN adopt as long as they’re not in a civil union, the same as for heterosexual people. Single people, gay or straight, can adopt. But for couples, only married couples can adopt, and gay people cannot marry. This is why the law change is needed.

As for the name calling thing, the context is that the Act Party guy was challenged on the anti-gay history of the one Act Party candidate who may actually get elected (former Auckland Mayor and ex-National Party Member of Parliament, John Banks), and he deflected it by attacking Labour. It was a partisan political shot, in other words, designed to deflect attention from the anti-gay nature of their candidate.

And what Brother Cinaedus was referring to was that I’ve talked about how badly Labour has been polling. But that subject is far from closed, and I’ll be talking about it more on my podcast and blog.

Oh, and Anthony? I had no idea about Zachary Quinto, either.

Hamilton couldn’t run because he’d had an extramarital affair, not because of where he was born. Plus, he seems to have been a bit of a jerk, though that certainly wouldn’t have made him unique among presidents if he had been elected.

Next, I would like to challenge Joey’s statements on the inclusion of questioning people among the GLBT, etc. I know that the inclusion does make the whole big and cumbersome, but the question people can be our most fragile members. If someone is questioning because he is a 35 year old who wants a blow job, because his girl friend is out of town (or pregnant with his child). A swift well placed kick is called for here.

However, there are a lot of people questioning, who are 13/14 years old, or 21/22, or 54/55, who are really trying to figure their lives out. These people need our support. The are in a middle of journey that could lead them to some bad decisions. I feel this were a lot of the suicides develop.

BTW, I do not think that Joey was including the second group in his remarks. I think he may have just forgotten them. He has in the past been a wonderful supporter of questioning youth in the past. I just need to not forget them.

I have been trying to download the zucchini episode, but can’t seem to get it to work on iTunes or on the web. What gives? Has it been censored due to graphic content? Has your Butt-hole not healed so it is a sore subject? Inquiring minds want to know.

I guess that getting you to stop making excuses and just admit that you made a poor choice is not going to happen, so I’m through with this. Good luck with your show.

Last wednesday was a crazy night and I didn’t get a chance to do a proper soundcheck so I wasn’t happy with the sound quality either. We have a video to make, a skit, a rant all which had to fit in three hours, and I had to get these out the door by thursday afternoon if I wanted it to be timely. Still I prefer our sound over earbuds, those just sound weird.

And when I say hacking I’m referring to the iTunes store and anybody can sign up multiple times, have different accounts and leave multiple reviews. This was originally done because we were getting one star reviews for no good reason from another actually non-jokingly mean show. This causes you to get lower placement in the store for no real reason and I actually agree with Mr. Bee on this that the review section does not work.

Lastly I don’t believe in God, or Austalian mongooses and once again a lot of this is for humor. Do not take this seriously, its all in good fun. Was I in error of course, but I doubt Mr. Bee was actually upset about the review, and if he was then I fear for Michael’s safety cause thats really really piety.

But hell it makes for great comedy.

Regarding your claim that you “could not figure out” whether you had given a 4-star review or 5-star review has about as much credibility as “I did not have sexual relations with that woman,” or “Iraq has weapons of mass destruction.” Anybody who has left an iTunes review knows that when you are finished, you have to review it before you actually submit it.

At that time, you get a GRAPHICAL representation of how many stars you gave to the podcast. You also get to see how your written review will look. I’m assuming that if you are a college graduate then you have at least learned how to count objects, and therefore you would have seen four stars in the review, not five. But then, maybe your finger slipped and covered up the screen?

Also, on the subject of sound quality, your outro music was so loud that I couldn’t hear anybody’s voices without cranking up the volume so loud my earbuds were causing the walls in the room to shake.

And furthermore, the irresponsible threat you made of hacking the QCast site? Bad choice. If some nutcase decides to hack their website and make it look like you did it, your podcast has what could amount to a signed confession. And while I am a lawyer, I don’t recall “I was just kidding” being a good defense in any court of law, should the QCast guys decide to take legal action against you in the aftermath of any hacking.

In short, put on the “big boy pants” and act like you have at least the sense that God gave an “Australian mongoose.” Stop making excuses, stop making threats, and consider the possibility that you might actually have been wrong for once.

Please keep it up, even with Anthony’s…um…jokes. Just kidding, Anthony. You’re hot.

Aren’t we all censored by our employers? If someone working at the gap were to call a customer a “jig-a-boo” or a “nappy-headed-ho”, wouldn’t they be fired? If they weren’t, then what would that say about the gap and what they as a company represent? Doesn’t MSN have the right to fire someone that isn’t serving their best interests as a company? If you owned a company, and you hired someone to be a spokesperson, and they were causing you to lose money because they were portraying you negatively, wouldn’t you fire them?

THe Apple TV? Might be because in the UK and Ireland, one of the main commerical channels is called ITV. I have noticed that Apple like to keep things simple by only having one product type, name etc (iPhone as GSM/EDGE no CDMA, no digital tuners on macs as there are tons of different stands etc), and the UK is one of Apples bigger markets. Thought they might have called it MacTV or something like that.

As for US healthcare…IT SUCKS! It was ranked 37th in the world even though it has the most money spent on it….France was number 1!

OK… Supersonic flight: The problem was that the flying surfaces of the time were not correctly shaped to be effective at supersonic speeds. As speed increases toward Mach 1, air can no longer get out of the way of the onrushing wings and tail, and in early aircraft, either the shockave of compressed air would break the surfaces off the plane, or the shockwave would travel far enough back to change the balance of forces on the control surfaces, cuasing the controls to either lock up, immobile against the force of the shockwave, or reverse their normal function. However, this is not due to any reversal of the laws of physics, but simply to a change in the properties of the air that the control surface is encountering. Once the design changed, the proplem could be overcome.

Poppers are usually either amyl nitrite or another alkyl nitrite. Inhaling these nitrites relaxes smooth muscles throughout the body, including the sphincter muscles and the muscles along the walls of blood vessels. This causes the blood vessels to dilate (which causes a sudden drop in blood pressure), increases heart rate, and produces a sensation of heat and excitement. Some people find poppers can also moderate their gag reflex, facilitating fellatio. Others report that poppers can enhance and prolong orgasms.

In Ohio, the age of consent (for sex) is 16, and no distinction exists for same-sex vs. opposite sex situations. In the podcast, you seemed to be conflating that with the age of consent to marry, which can be as early as 14 with parental consent.

However, if the sexually explicit situation occurs using interstate communications, like the Internet, then the Federal age of consent (18) applies. This issue will be Foley’s primary legal problem.

Finally, as far as the use of the term “pedophile,” it’s good to remember that pedophile is a clinical term for people who are attracted to prepubescent children. Whether an act is pedophilia or child sexual abuse is different from whether it is legal or illegal. For example, several years ago, the age of consent for male-male relations in Ohio was 21; Would someone attracted to 20 year-olds be a pedophile?

Very often, when the issue involves same-sex relations between an adult and an older teen, it is labeled “abuse” or “pedophilia,” but the same terminology is not applied in similar opposite-sex situations. It’s very much tied up in society’s view of gender, and is a manifestation of homophobia.

At its start, the gay liberation movement involved securing the freedoms of all gay people. As many as a third of the original Stonewall rioters may have been underage. When our community started getting branded “pedophile,” we dropped the youth rights portion of our platform.

Even today, there is very little mixing between gay adults and gay youth. We shrink from what people might think. We fear the label, even though we know we’re not pedophiles. That’s why care needs to be taken in presenting stories like this so that they can be factual and accurate, and only apply loaded terms like “pedophile” where they really belong.

Leaving all that aside, I’m enjoying your podcast and your content-driven website. I enjoy Jonny McGovern’s podcast from New York, but I’m so glad I found something new & local. Thanks for putting on this podcast.
